Rogue River, Michigan — 1886 Algoma Riverboat Era, Grand River Tributary, TU Home River. From Rockford through Kent County, the Rogue River runs 42 miles of riffles and easy water to its confluence with the Grand River. At 230 CFS average, optimal flows range from 100–400 CFS on gauge 04118500. The Rockford to Childsdale stretch covers 12 miles through town with straightforward access, while the lower 15 miles from Childsdale to the Grand River confluence pass through more rural corridor. Before European contact, this was Odawa and Potawatomi territory as part of the Grand River watershed system. The Rogue River Watershed Restoration began work in 2016 to improve habitat and water quality throughout the system.
